HOW WE MIGHT WORK TOGETHER

As a gestalt therapist our work together will focus on how you are in the world here and now. That doesn’t mean we ignore the past but rather we will explore your journey to see how your history might be shaping your present experience. By raising these awareness’, you can begin to work on what might be getting in the way of you living your life in a way that will offer you more satisfaction. This journey of better knowing and accepting yourself as you are now will ultimately free up the possibility of becoming the person you would like to be.
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN WE MEET
In our first session we will take some time to get to know one another, to explore what brings you to therapy and discuss what you might like to be different for you in the future. This will also be your opportunity to ask questions and to see if you feel I am the right fit for you as a therapist. We will decide how frequently we will meet (usually weekly, but sometimes twice weekly can offer the required support early in the relationship) and, if you decide to go ahead, we may also look at contracting and discuss the initial number of sessions before a review.
